Fernie – Heavyweight Waxed Cotton Canvas
Fernie is a 550 gsm, 100% cotton canvas finished with our Hybrid Sahara Wax, a blend of dry wax and mineral oils. The blend gives the fabric a softer, more supple hand than traditional dry wax, with a lightly oiled feel and a matte surface. Double-ply yarn in both warp and weft gives it the strength for products that take daily wear and get better with age.

Fernie holds its structure without feeling stiff. The fabric stays rugged enough for heavy use, and the wax finish develops character as it’s worn. Our customers use Fernie for workwear jackets and luggage bags, where the fabric needs to stand up to hard use and look better for it.
