Hassan Textiles produces this lightweight waxed cotton fabric with our Sahara Dry Wax finish. It uses the same finishing process as our heavier P160 fabric, at a lighter 240 gsm. As a result, it keeps the same antique, worn character in a fabric that feels noticeably lighter in hand. The dry wax process still evokes the arid feel of a desert landscape. Buyers often choose this lighter weight when a project needs the waxed look without the added bulk.
Built to Export Standards:
We weave this fabric from 100% cotton and finish it to 240 gsm (7 oz/yd²). It comes on a 150 cm (59″) roll width with a stiff, dry-wax hand feel. Because it’s lighter than our standard waxed cotton, this fabric suits garments and accessories that need drape as well as texture. Brands have used waxed cotton for outdoor and protective garments for well over a century. Meanwhile, this lighter weight extends that heritage into apparel and accessories that need less structure.
